The Process at DüConnect: What Was the Process Like, and Where Do We Stand?

DüConnect began to evolve into its current form in March 2025 , through phased development during the project idea generation process. In the summer of 2025 , we moved on to the process of creating the code architecture.
During this period, we faced various challenges in finding both financial and moral support. Despite this, as the DüConnect team, we continued working and brought the project to a usable level in December 2025 .
Why wasn't the implementation completed by the planned dates?
Our initial goal was to launch in October 2025. We also wanted to release the mobile app during the fall semester finals to support students. However, during the testing/QA (debugging) phase of the app, we encountered some problems that affected user experience.
While trying to solve these problems, we also had to allocate time to different jobs and projects periodically to cover expenses . This made it difficult for us to fully focus on a single goal. As a result, we were unable to meet both the October 2025 target and the 2025-2026 Fall semester finals as a mobile application.
What did we do to support you during this process?
Although the mobile app isn't ready yet, we've developed two new tabs on our website to increase accessibility during finals season:
In the " Lecture Notes " section, we have shared lecture notes submitted by students, which we plan to include in the mobile application after its release , with public access . While doing this, we prioritized respecting copyright and content ownership . Our aim was to offer a more accessible and efficient alternative, at least in terms of content, during this period.
Broadcast schedule
Following the finals and mid-term break, we plan to release our app on the Google Play Store and App Store on February 12, 2026 .
Spring semester
During the spring semester of 2025-2026, we will be sharing the application's launch details as well as the additional improvements we are working on, step by step. We will continue to announce details via the blog section of our website as they become clearer.
